The father of Nian Bing is a fire mage and an ice magician. After the Ice Lord killed both of his parents, Nian Bing was given each of their magic gems. Nian Bing was able to cast both fire and ice magic at the same time while attempting to flee the Ice Lord's followers. Unattainable for a mage.
