Monsters are everywhere and the people in the Central Plains were in need during the An Lushan Rebellion of the Tang Dynasty. Li Haobai, who began at the Bashu, desired to advance to the front lines in order to perform a deserving deed. He was swallowed by the monster on the way. By chance, Li Haobai and the protector of the dragon's veins merged to gain control over the black dragon. And he has since taken part in the conflict between various forces.
